U.S. paper distributor Central National Gottesman (CNG) announced on October 19 that its Lindenmeyr Munroe division will acquire the business of Omaha Paper Company in Nebraska. The release headline says “Acquires”, but its body explicitly says the transaction is expected to close at the end of October 2026. As of this article’s October 20 review, it does not establish that closing has taken place.
The planned distribution expansion
Omaha Paper recently rebranded as OPC Direct. According to CNG, the company distributes paper, packaging materials and equipment, wide-format supplies and JanSan products. CNG presents the deal as an opportunity to expand its U.S. Midwest distribution network. That is the purchaser’s stated aim and a description of the product portfolio, not evidence that warehouses, inventory or delivery service have already been integrated.

The announcement does not spell out changes to existing customers’ contracting entity, purchase-order accounts, delivery routes, product identifiers or credit terms. Before changing such records, buyers can preserve their current order documentation and await direct official customer instructions. A later notice confirming the closing, followed by operational updates, would be needed to assess actual service changes.

The distinction: October 19 brought an acquisition announcement and an expected end-of-month closing, not verified completion. New commercial terms, consolidated inventories and delivery improvements remain unconfirmed.
